
Murray Gell-Mann
Nobel physicist; longtime Epstein friend, black book, island visitor
American theoretical physicist and Nobel Prize laureate (1969) who co-founded the Santa Fe Institute. Introduced to Epstein by Ghislaine Maxwell circa 1991. Listed in Epstein's black book. Acknowledged Epstein's financial support in his 1994 book 'The Quark and the Jaguar.' Epstein purchased Zorro Ranch in New Mexico partly to spend time with Gell-Mann. Contributed a letter to Epstein's 2003 birthday album. Attended the 2011 Mindshift Conference on Epstein's private island after Epstein's 2008 conviction. Died May 2019.
