Cy Vance

Former Manhattan District Attorney whose office argued in 2011 to reduce Epstein's sex offender status from Level 3 (high risk) to Level 1 (low risk). The decision was widely criticized. Vance's office said the decision was made by junior staff. He later recused himself from further Epstein matters.
